We’re excited to share one of our favorite recent kitchen transformations in McLean, Virginia—a project that completely reimagined a dated layout and turned it into a space that feels fresh, bold, and incredibly functional. With eye-catching cabinetry, smart upgrades, and a layout designed for better flow, this kitchen now works beautifully for everyday life as well as entertaining.

Project Overview
For this remodel, we went with a bold and timeless look using two-tone cabinetry and warm, polished finishes. Here’s a quick breakdown of the design:
Fabuwood Galaxy cabinets: Indigo Blue for the base and Frost White for the uppers
MSI Calacatta Premata quartz countertops, including a waterfall edge on the island
Glossy white subway tile backsplash, extended to the ceiling behind the hood
Jeffrey Alexander satin bronze hardware
Reconfigured plumbing, gas, electrical, and ventilation to support a more functional layout
Added pendant lighting, undercabinet LED strips, and an in-drawer power outlet

What We Did
Opening Up the Space
We started by removing soffits and knocking down a wall section between the kitchen and the adjoining space. This opened up the kitchen visually and allowed for a larger, more functional island.
Custom Cabinetry
The Indigo Blue and Frost White cabinet combo offers the perfect contrast. These Fabuwood cabinets feature all-plywood construction, soft-close drawers and doors, and a clean shaker-style look.
Stone and Tile
We installed MSI’s Calacatta Premata quartz on both the countertops and waterfall edge. For the backsplash, we used Whisper White 2×6″ subway tile in a 50% offset pattern for a clean, timeless finish.
Full Mechanical Work
Our licensed team handled all the behind-the-scenes upgrades—relocating plumbing and gas lines, running new electrical, adding outlets, pendant lights, undercabinet lights, and a recessed outlet in the drawer.
Permits and Inspections
As always, we managed all required permits, drawings, and inspections, so the homeowner didn’t have to worry about any of the logistics.

This project was completed in McLean, VA, and managed out of our Vienna showroom. We serve a wide area including Tysons, Arlington, Great Falls, Falls Church, and surrounding communities across Northern Virginia.
