Kitchen Remodeling
For this kitchen remodel in Fairfax, VA, our client wanted a space that felt bright, functional, and built to last. The result? A classic white kitchen that combines crisp finishes with smart storage, modern electrical upgrades, and durable materials.
Every detail—from the cabinetry and countertops to the lighting and plumbing—was carefully designed and installed to reflect the homeowner’s style and needs.
What We Did
Demolition & Prep
We began with a full demolition of the existing kitchen, removing all materials and handling debris cleanup with multiple trash pickups. We also delivered all new materials to the site and prepped the space for construction.
New Cabinetry
We installed Medallion Gold Line semi-custom cabinets in the Jarrett Flat Panel style, finished in White Icing Classic. These American-made cabinets feature:
All-plywood construction
Solid wood frames, doors, and drawer fronts
Soft-close doors and drawers
Extended 48″ wall cabinets
Limited lifetime warranty
The clean white cabinetry instantly brightened the space and provided ample storage.
Hardware Installation
We used Jeffrey Alexander matte black pulls (model 177-128MB) to add contrast and a touch of modern design. All hardware was professionally installed.
Quartz Countertops & Backsplash
The new countertops are made from MSI quartz and feature:
Smooth pencil edging
A 10″ island overhang for bar seating
Custom cutouts for the sink and cooktop
A full-height backsplash behind the new range hood
This seamless stone installation gives the kitchen a polished, high-end look.
Plumbing Upgrades
We ran a new water line for the relocated refrigerator and installed a new InSinkErator Badger 5 garbage disposal with SoundSeal technology. All plumbing for the sink, dishwasher, and disposal was reconnected as part of the update.
Electrical Enhancements
To accommodate new appliances and modern needs, we completed several electrical upgrades, including:
New dedicated lines for the refrigerator and warming drawer
Three LED under-cabinet lights with a new switch
A relocated GFCI outlet
A built-in drawer outlet with USB-C and USB-A ports for charging devices
These updates added both safety and convenience while keeping the space clutter-free.
Ventilation & Appliance Hookup
We relocated the toe-kick vent to fit the new fridge placement and connected all major appliances, including the cooktop, range hood, wall oven, microwave, dishwasher, and warming drawer.
The Result
This Fairfax kitchen now feels brighter, more open, and thoughtfully designed for everyday living. The combination of white cabinetry, smooth quartz, and subtle matte black hardware creates a timeless look that works for both busy mornings and weekend entertaining.
