This Herndon, VA kitchen underwent a full transformation — blending classic design with modern functionality. The homeowners wanted a fresh new space with bold color, clean lines, and a layout that better served their everyday needs. Our team at My Kitchen and Bath delivered a custom solution from demolition to the final polish.
Design Highlights
Cabinetry:
We installed Medallion Gold Line semi-custom cabinetry in the Dana Pointe door style with a stunning Dusk blue finish. These 100% U.S.-made maple cabinets feature solid wood frames, all-plywood construction, and soft-close doors and drawers — backed by a limited lifetime warranty. The new layout improved both aesthetics and functionality.
Countertops:
For the surfaces, we selected MSI Calacatta Leon Quartz, featuring soft veining and a timeless white background. The fabrication included a 12″ overhang for bar seating, full bullnose edging, and precise cut-outs for the new undermount sink.
Backsplash Tile:
A sleek porcelain backsplash wraps around three kitchen walls, with an accent tile feature behind the range to create visual depth. We used Dolomite tile with clean white grout and a contrasting Tile Shop accent mosaic for a custom touch.
Hardware & Fixtures:
Cabinet doors and drawers are finished with Jeffrey Alexander brushed bronze pulls for a rich, elegant look.
